Weekend Recap

Weekending: 4th of July

Man, oh man, what a great weekend! I’ve gone non-stop since Thursday evening but with this being our last free weekend for awhile, we wanted to pack as much fun stuff in as we could. And that’s exactly what we did! Of course, I didn’t take one picture with my real camera.

THURSDAY | After work, Cory and I headed to look at new rings but unfortunately I didn’t find anything I liked. Cory calls it the “Paige Phenomenon” where I know what I’m looking for but it doesn’t exist. It happens way too often. On the way home, the sunset was absolutely gorgeous {ignore my dirty windshield}.

FRIDAY | We woke up Friday morning and lazied around with the dogs. One of my favorite things is to pull both of the dogs up in the bed when we first wake up and when they are all sweet and snugglie. Eventually, it turns into a huge wrestle fest.

After going to the grocery store, we headed to Chad and Tonya’s to hang out by the pool and grill out. Notice the big burn on my forehead? Yeah, I did that Thursday night and it hurt {still hurts} like crazy.

One of my favorite Forrester boys {who am I kidding, they’re all great}. And those are the only three pictures I took on the 4th. #bloggerfail

SATURDAY | Saturday morning started off with more puppy snuggles.

Hampton

After snuggling, we spent the morning with Taylor {my niece} and her dad, Stephen. We played hide and seek about 759 times, ate lunch, played outside and shared our latest game obsessions. IMG_3186 IMG_3187

After Taylor and Stephen left, we headed to Anderson. I wanted to look at some of the jewelry stores for rings {but of course, couldn’t find anything} and we stopped in to Hobby Lobby while waiting on Amber to meet us then headed to Olive Garden for dinner. Afterwards, we started a double header at the movies.

There are probably 13 movies that have come out recently that we’ve been wanting to see but just haven’t had any time to see them. Since we had a free evening, we knocked out The Fault in our Stars and Transformers.

Nick and Christine showed up for a triple header {crazy, right??}.

We cried all the way through The Fault in our Stars and Amber had already seen it!

My boy loves his Ninja Turtles. And he wants this for our house. Lord, help me!

SUNDAY | The band {and spouses} decided to continue the 4th of July celebrations for church. What better way to celebrate than with tacky t-shirts from Walmart.

Cory even dressed up his rabbit.

Red, white and blue camo. Does it get any more patriotic???

IMG_3223

Now that I’m looking at it, Cory’s shirt really wasn’t all that tacky.

But mine and Amber’s? Yeah…they were bad.

You’ll have to forgive me for getting this post up so late but that’s just how it goes sometimes. I’m just thankful it’s up! I’m probably going to be pretty sparse around here the next couple of weeks because Barnabas X {and preparing for our fundraisers} and a bridal shower this weekend is requiring all my attention. I promise, I’ll be back soon with some good post!
