University of South Carolina Burlap Wreath

Months ago {like nine} my best friend Kristen asked for a University of South Carolina burlap wreath and I put it off like the plague because the last wreath I was interested in doing was a Gamecock one. But Kristen is one of my best friends and what kind of friend would I be if I didn’t make her one?

Since I  hosted her bridal shower back in June, I thought the wreath would be a perfect gift plus it gave me a deadline to get it done by. I do have to say that this was the hardest wreath to buy supplies for. My Clemson brain just wouldn’t wrap around the USC colors I needed to order {which was part of the reason it took me so long to get it done}.

Even though I had a hard time making this wreath, I really loved the way it turned out. No, garnet and black aren’t my favorite colors but it’s definitely not an ugly wreath {not to toot my own horn or anything}. The most important part? Kristen loved it!

Since her shower, I’ve actually made a second University of South Carolina burlap wreath {what was I thinking???} for my cousin Justin and his wife Ali and it may or may not have made it in their wedding photos :) Oh, the things we do for friends and family!
