Ugly Christmas Sweater Party

Merry Christmas Eve, y’all! We’ve got a busy day full of a Christmas Eve service, Christmas at Cory’s grandparents’ house, and then heading to my parents’ house to spend the night.

But first, I just had to share the pictures from our Ugly Christmas Sweater Party with our community group last Sunday.

It’s been so long since I’ve laughed as hard as I did at this party. Cory and I are so blessed to be about to call these crazy people our friends. And they are crazy!

You’ve been warned!

Vince and Billy were trying to help Goob get in touch with his feminine side.

Yes, his name is Goob.

He doesn’t have a feminine side.

Yeah, standing like that in a woman’s sweater doesn’t make you look any more masculine, Cory.

But Billy standing like that makes the rest of you look more masculine, so good job on that I guess.

Vince said it was time for the “Prom Pictures”. Scariest prom I’ve ever seen.

Sweet kids for jumping in the picture with Pam so she wasn’t alone!

Okay…so I’m really not even sure how we got to this point. We started with old school poses and somehow switched to “as redneck as possible”.

FYI…the cigarette is NOT real, it was an old Halloween prop and that’s a root beer bottle in his hand! I promise, this is our community group from church!

And then this happened…

The black socks were definitely the icing on the cake!

And just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse…

So as you can see, it was a very reverent and spiritual time as we gathered around a Bible to honor the birth of Christ.

What? God has a sense of humor.

So I’m signing off for the next couple of days to enjoy Christmas with my sweet family and I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!
