Thanksgiving 2018
Popping in for a quick Thanksgiving recap! Cory and I have rotated between our two families for holidays like Thanksgiving and Easter for many years now and this year, it was his families year. It’s always sad to miss one side of our families but much less stressful than the years we tried to make it to multiple dinners. With a child, that seems nearly impossible! This year, we had the added bonus that his mom was in town for Thanksgiving so we got to celebrate both sides of his family, which hasn’t happened in a few years (we did divide this in to two days, though).
It just so happened that most of us had Wednesday off and for the first time in at least 6 years, we were able to celebrate with Cory’s cousin too! It’s always fun to have the kids together and Baker had a blast playing with her cousins!
We were missing a few but thankful to have had the day these people!
On Thursday, we headed to Cory’s grandmothers house to celebrate with his dads side of the family. As usual, Baker is the center of attention!
I just can’t handle all this cuteness. I want to bottle it all up and save it forever.
Happy Thanksgiving from the Sloans!
This is the face you make when you say you want to “climb a tree” but maybe you don’t really know what “climb a tree” means.
Goodness, she is the center of everyone’s world!
I adore every day I get to spend with Baker but holidays are just so, so sweet.
Once we got home and laid down for a quick nap, I left to meet Mom for our annual Black Friday shopping. A few years ago, my brother wanted to go with us and he joined us again this year. Mom tried to get Gracie to go too but she wanted no part of it! We started shopping about 8:00pm and got back to my grandparents around 6:00am.
We always crash there for a few hours before driving home and Gracie was crashed out hard!
I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season! We are trying to enjoy every second with our Baker girl because it all just goes too quickly!
