Fundraiser Ideas- Black Light Zumba
Whew! The past two weeks have been absolutely crazy on the home front. After our annual indoor yard sale tomorrow, we will have had three fundraisers in two weeks. Talk about chaos! I would hardly call Cory and myself fundraising pros but we have had a lot of success in raising money for mission trips the past three years. Coming up with fundraiser ideas can get hard because you want to do things that people will actually show up for but also want to try new things to catch people’s attention. When Amber suggested having a Black Light Zumba fundraiser {something Cory and I would have NEVER thought about}, we…
T-Shirts for Rwanda
With the kitchen renovations happening, I’ve barely mentioned our upcoming trip to Rwanda but we’ve been working behind the scenes preparing for some big fundraisers this summer. We have a lot of money to raise since Cory will be spending a whole month there! Yes, you read that correctly. Cory gets to spend the whole month of September in Rwanda and I will be bringing the rest of the group for the last two weeks. I’m a tad bit jealous. To help us with the cost of the trip, we had these awesome t-shirts designed by Fund the Nations and are selling them for $20 plus $4 shipping if you…
Stuck on the Roof No Mo
This past weekend Barnabas X had our big “Stuck on the Roof” fundraiser and we were overwhelmed at the response and love that was poured out to us. Our original goal on Friday was $1500 and we planned on staying on the roof of my dads store until we raised it. After two hours, we had already surpassed $1500 so we got brave and decided to raise our goal to $4000. Go big or go home, right? Last minute prep work Thursday night. I had to work Friday morning so I stole these pictures from Facebook. I can’t say how much we appreciate everyone helping us set up. It was…
Tuesday Tea: Beggin’ for Money
Well, not really beggin’ but we kinda are. If you’ve followed this little blog of mine since last year, you may already know that Cory and I are going to Africa this summer. Last summer, Cory spent two weeks in Rwanda and we will be heading back in June. I was heartbroken when I couldn’t go last year and swore to myself I wouldn’t stay home again. With planning in full swing comes the tedious task of support letters. #lifeofamissionary Thank goodness, I’ve got a husband who can write like nobody’s business. Since he wrote our letter {and has been working 72+ hours/week} I thought it was only fair for…
