The Wedding Day: Bridal Party + Family Pictures

While going over our picture schedule with our photographer, I didn’t really think I wanted traditional family pictures. I do wish that I would have thought it through and chosen a location that was a little less traditional than the sanctuary but nothing I can do about that now, right?  Looking back, I am so glad we have these pictures because since our wedding, Cory and I have lost three grandfathers. The pictures we have with them are priceless.

First up was my family…

My mom and dad.

My siblings.

One of my biggest regrets about our photography was not getting more pictures of the bridal party all together. We decided to do these photos when we got to the reception but by that point, we were all ready to just get the party started and skimped out on the photos.

*The ones like this were edited by our photographer and I wish she had done more. I’ve tried playing around on Photoshop with actions but can’t recreate this look. If anyone has any tips, I would love to know.

We are so thankful for the friends that celebrated this day with us. Aren’t they a crazy bunch???

Five on Friday & a Nutribullet Giveaway!

How is it already Friday, y’all? This week has flown by but I don’t hate it. Not to wish time away but the next three weeks will be craaazy for me at work because of graduation and I hope they aren’t too rough on me. I’m going to try to get a lot of blogging done this weekend so I don’t fall behind over the next three weeks but we’ll so how that goes. Also, Cory’s granny is having surgery on Monday so if you don’t mind, would you say a little prayer for her? We’d really appreciate it :)

Meet At The Barre

When I got home from Conway on Saturday, this was sitting on my table. I’ve had this old window for almost two years and wanted to finish my idea forever. When I ordered my dress for a wedding I’m in this summer, I got a gift card to Shutterfly and knew exactly what I wanted to use it on. I order the print a few weeks ago and Cory surprised me and finished it for me while I was gone. I can’t wait to hang it up!

Two Snuggles with his Daddy. Melts my heart.

When you live in a small town like I do and you happened to have cheered for a university like Clemson, you get asked to judge cheer tryouts. And you know what? I love it!!! I miss cheering so bad {it was only a huge part of my life for 10 years} and I really enjoy being back around it. I’d really love to coach a middle or high school team but my work schedule just really doesn’t allow it so I’ll take what I can get and judge! And I just realized the typo in my tweet…oops!

You guys, I’ve never won anything. Nothing at all until I entered the giveaway from Jenni @ Frankly My Dear for an iPhone case by Sticky 9. It came in yesterday and I absolutely adore seeing my favorite Instagram photos covering my phone!

Every time I think about last weekend, I just can’t help but smile. You know it’s a good weekend when you are still thinking about it a week later, right? I don’t get much time with some of my family, so every second I get with them is extra special.

I’m teaming up with Maeg and some awesome ladies to giveaway a Nutribullet and a $30 Target gift card! I’m pretty jealous that I can’t enter myself because this would make my life so much easier when it comes to making my smoothies in the morning. The red one would look perfect in my kitchen {hint, hint for anyone looking for gift ideas}. You can enter below!

Easter Weekend {2014}

Thinking back over Easter weekend, I can’t help but smile. It was a slam packed weekend but I got to spend it with so much of my wonderful family! And not to mention, Easter was a gorgeous day. Warning: this post will be picture heavy because it was such a great weekend, I want to document it all! #sorrynotsorry

After work on Thursday my mom, me and Gracie headed down to Conway to see my Grandma and two of my aunts. My grandma just recently moved to Conway to live with my Aunt Kathy, so we were excited to get to see her! It was late when we got down there and we were staying with my Aunt Barbie, so we got up Friday morning and headed over to pick Grandma up.

20140421-211814.jpgThere was a consignment store my aunts wanted to take us to and Gracie found this wig. Doesn’t she look like Joe Dirt??? After that we had lunch at American Heroes which has the biggest subs I’ve ever seen.

It’s so hard to get everyone {especially this group} to look at the camera and not make a silly face.

When we got home from lunch on Friday, we made cookies and had a little flour fight. Sisters are never too old for that are they?

Later that night, Gracie and Tori went back to my Aunt Kathy’s house and Grandma stayed with me and mom at Barbie’s. We ate chips and salsa for supper and watched Frozen {finally} after the girls left!

Jameson was my fill in puppy love for the weekend. He is my cousin Julia’s dog but he stays with her mom, my Aunt Barbie. She couldn’t take him with her when she started the nursing program at FMU. He was such a doll and I sure did enjoy him snuggling up beside Friday night.

We woke up Saturday morning and again…did a whole lot of nothing! We had a delicious sausage casserole for breakfast and lounged around the house. Julia came over so her and I went to downtown Conway to explore a few of the shops. While we were gone, Gracie got a hold of Moms phone and filmed her very own tutorial. It’s really too cute not to watch!

After we got back to the house, we had lunch and were able to get some pictures of everyone.

Me and Jules. I hate we live so far apart because I need more of her in my life!

On the way home, I was thinking about how great of a time I had. I seriously can’t remember a time where we all just got to spend that much time together. We didn’t have to go 90 mph but just sat around the kitchen table and got caught up. I come from a bunch of goofballs and we all laughed a lot! It was so nice though and I was sad to leave Saturday afternoon.

Too much driving for one weekend! Notice Gracie knocked out in the back seat??? Mom and I stopped in Columbia for a quick trip to the mall and it ended up being after 11pm when I got home Saturday night.

Some of my favorite Easter lovelies at church on Sunday. After church, we headed to my Aunt Leisa’s house for lunch. We had a joint celebration for Easter and John and Jordan, my brothers, 18th birthday.

Birthday wishes are hard decisions, apparently.

After lunch, Gracie and Taylor {my niece} modeled their Easter dresses for us while the boys hid Easter eggs.

Such a busy weekend with a lot of time in the car but it was all worth it to get to see so much of my family! I couldn’t have asked for a more amazing Easter weekend!

He’s single, ladies.

No, not Cory! You’ll have to keep on reading to find out.
This past Sunday, Cory and I headed to my aunts house for Christmas with my dad’s side of the family. Per usual, everyone was having a good time and there were plenty of laughs to go around. Since Gracie is the youngest, she “gets” to be Santa now.

I wonder how long it will take her to realize it’s because the adults are too lazy? She was excited about it until she found her present under the tree.

Then she was done.

After the presents, we I wanted some pictures in front of the tree.

Gracie got up in true Lunsford fashion and struck some of the cutest poses. Too bad the photographer hasn’t taken the time to learn how to use her new camera and most the pictures are blurry.

Aaand then this happened.

Meet my cousin Jordan and yes ladies, he’s single. And contrary to what you may think he’s not even 20.{Shocking, I know}. Pillow not included.

He wants you.

Apparently Cory was enjoying the show. Ha! This picture was actually taken before Jordan’s photo shoot but I thought his expression was perfect.

Check back next week for my complete Christmas recap!
