Super Sister

As I mentioned yesterday in my Five on Friday post, my parents are out of town the country until Sunday. What does that mean for me?

It means that I get to be super sister for the weekend.

Last night was full of running errands, dinner and going back and forth to my parents twice to get ready for all the Halloween festivities today.

We’ve got not only one church festival today but two. My parents church is having a fall festival and my brothers volunteered to help. Rather than heading out there twice, I figured I would just take Gracie while they work. After we leave there, our church is helping with a trunk or treat known as “Boo by the Lake.”

I wasn’t crazy enough to volunteer decorating my trunk with all three younger Lunsfords crashing at my house as well as Cory working this weekend. I did buy a ridiculous amount of candy to make up for it though.

On top of all the Halloween festivities, I’ve got some pumpkins that need decorating. I bought some foam pumpkins at Target a few weeks ago and have been meaning to get some paint on them. Hopefully, I will have time to squeeze it in sometime this weekend.

Here in South Carolina, it’s been freezing this week. Literally.  When I woke up this morning it was a chilly 55 degrees in our house. Since Cory had just gotten home from work and was asleep, I had to kick into survivor mode to keep my siblings warm. I had to start a fire.

I have never successfully started a fire in our stove.

Until today, that is.

Definitely feeling like super sister now…I’ll save the day and keep you warm younger Lunsfords.

Ahem.

Anyway, let me get off my high horse now.

Guess who thought blogging was so cool after watching me do it?

That’s right…Cory has decided to start a blog. We are officially a blogging duo. You can find his blog at Owlandtreeblog.com. So go check it out!

Okay y’all…I’ve got to go get myself and Gracie ready for the day. She is going to be a pink butterfly {not even sure what that is?} with Rapunzel hair. It should be interesting.

Hope y’all have a great Saturday and enjoy any Halloween festivities going on!
