Sass, Class & Compassion Tour
This past Sunday our church hosted The Sass, Class & Compassion Tour with Mandy Hale {The Single Woman} and Jaime Jamgochian {Modest is Hottest}. The past couple of weeks have been spent planning and preparing for a fun girls night out and I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we had a blast! Mandy and Jaime are two of the sweetest people I’ve ever met and they both have a passion for serving the Lord. I may or may not have freaked a little when I met Mandy because she is the first “real” {as in full time} blogger I’ve met. It was great evening to spend time with some of my favorite ladies {Jessica, Tonya, Bentley and my mama!}, worship the Lord and hear two precious women share their testimonies and passions.
I have to add that hearing Mandy talk about quitting her job to blog full time definitely gave me some motivation {and hope} that maybe one day I will get to do what my heart desires full time.
Saturday morning we headed to the church to get everything set up and decorated and I think everything turned out just precious. Jennifer and Julie did a fabulous job with the backdrop, don’t ya think? Since we are meeting in an elementary school, we wanted something to temporarily cover up some of the artwork on the wall. We are so blessed to have such creative ONEsisters!
Sticking with the theme of sass and class, we chose to use diamonds and pearls with a whole lotta pink. You can’t have a girls night without pink and what is more classy than diamonds and pearls? We added the red pink carpet for the ladies to walk down and check out all the awesome merchandise.
We were so fortunate the men of ONEstrong volunteered to do the nursery so that none of the women had to miss this event. Jessica brought Miss Kaylen and she got to spend some quality time with Uncle Cory.
Mandy and Jaime started the night off with some great tips. Mandy shared her top five tips for single ladies with the #1 tip being “if anyone asks why you’re single, just tell them it’s because you’re to fabulous to settle.” Can I get an amen? Jaime shared her top five modest is hottest fashion tips and the one that stuck out to me was “whether you’re a DD or a barely B {uh, hello}, no one wants to see down you’re shirt so put a tank top on”. This is so true because you don’t have to be well endowed to still show an eyeful every time you bend over.
Next, Jaime led worship and her bubbly personality even came through her songs. Plus, she’s got a killer voice and mad skills on the keys.
After they shared about Compassion International, they ended the night with a Q & A session and autographs.
I told you that Jessica got a super cute new hair cut, didn’t I? Aren’t they beautiful?
It was such an honor to host these sweet ladies and I’m so thankful I had the opportunity to meet them & hear their stories. If you get a chance, you should really check them out!
