Paige, the Grinch?

+

The past couple weeks have been unbelievably busy for me. I’m not even joking when I saw every free second I’ve had has been spent on wreath orders and decorating for Christmas. I feel so behind because it’s now the first week of December and I’m not finished decorating my house yet. And I hate it! I love my house at Christmas time and I like to have my decorations up as long as possible. I’m losing time here!

On top of it all, Cory and I are leaving this afternoon to go out of town for the weekend. This is the only thing I dislike about the holidays. It’s go, go, go but when can we sit down and enjoy it? I just need one full day to be at home, with no where to be or no one coming over, to finish my decorations and wrap the three presents I’ve already bought. Don’t even get me started on Christmas shopping.

To say I’m feeling a little stressed would be an understatement and honestly, it’s got me feeling a little blue. Dare I say a little grinch-ish?  I can’t feel this way. I love Christmas and everything about the season.

Sigh.

As busy as I’ve been, I have to say Cory has been wonderful. He knows how stressed I’ve been and has kept his mouth shut about the disasters of glitter and Christmas decorations I’ve created throughout the house {which is hard for him and his OCD tendencies}. Not only has he kept up with the house work, cleaning around my junk {because it can’t be moved until I get done or I might just lose my mind} but he has deep cleaned our house twice in the past week to get ready for company. When I left for work this morning he was folding my laundry, y’all.

It’s okay. You can be jealous. I would be if he wasn’t my husband.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Cory for doing EVERYTHING the past couple weeks. You have no idea how much I appreciate you stepping up and taking control of our crazy house.

So Cory and I are off to NC for the weekend and I’m going to enjoy myself even if I’m thinking about my mile long to-do list the whole time.

Have a happy Thursday, y’all!
