SC Ride4Life 2015
Happy Friday, y’all! For the first time in weeks months, I am completely caught up on my Bloglovin feed! Now, if I could just figure out how to stay caught up on my own blog as well, I’d be good. I should be getting back into the swing of things soon, since 95% of the construction on our kitchen is done. Fingers crossed on that one though. So, I blinked and the SC Ride4Life 2015 is over. Every year, I walk away thinking “this is the best group I’ve ever supported”. Eventually, they are gonna get hard to top, right? Well, this year is definitely one for the books because our group…
Life Lately According to the iPhone
Happy Friday to me! We leave in the morning for the annual SC Ride4Life– a 300-mile bicycle ride to the coast. While I can hardly count the next four days as vacation, it’s probably my favorite part of the summer. I’m pretty bummed my Dad couldn’t get off work to participate because of his new job but more worried about not having my Mama there to do rider support with me. I’ve got big shoes to fill, y’all. As promised {shocking, I know} I’m sharing all the details on how we made our own board and batten shutters. Once we decided to paint our house, we knew that our old shutters weren’t going to make the cut. So I headed to Lowe’s one afternoon to get a price on new ones and was shocked to see that it’d be almost $300 to get the board and batten shutters that…
Painted Brick Reveal
We finally have some sense of normalcy back on our lives so I thought I would share a little reveal with ya’ll. No, it’s not our kitchen! Half our furniture is still in the carport and our house is a disaster but we have what looks like a kitchen {we’ve actually been able to cook in it!}. We’ve still got a long way to go before it’s ready-ready to reveal, though. Over two months ago, I shared that Cory and I decided to stay put and make our house work for us, but making our house work for us meant some pretty drastic updates. Well, one of the first of those…
