    Weekending

Happy Tuesday, y’all! For the first time in months, I’m getting a weekend recap up. So what that it’s still a day late?! After months of working on our kitchen and raising money for Rwanda, we took Saturday off to enjoy a day at the lake with some of our favorites. It was a perfect day! It’s amazing what a little vitamin D will do for the spirit. Supplies, supplies and more supplies in the background were left at home to still be packed. We have been so blessed by the outpour of donations to take with us! How did I get so lucky? He’s a man of many talents.…

    I’m still alive!

Wow! I can’t believe it’s the end of August. I never intended to take the majority of the summer off from blogging and I certainly never intended to take so long to share our kitchen reno but life happens sometimes.  We went straight from the kitchen to successfully raising almost $14,000 in two months for our trip to Rwanda (mind blown!). Here’s a little of our crazy, busy life lately… Charley bug got her stitches out and has been back at 110% ever since. YoGo is never a bad idea after working on yard sale stuff all day. I’ve been having to catch up on all my favorite shows when I can. Like while I’m cooking dinner. I took the plunge and took chopped my hair off. Goodbye, 10 inches! So far, I’m loving the new cut. It’s so much lighter and cooler. …

    Fundraiser Ideas- Black Light Zumba

Whew! The past two weeks have been absolutely crazy on the home front. After our annual indoor yard sale tomorrow, we will have had three fundraisers in two weeks. Talk about chaos! I would hardly call Cory and myself fundraising pros but we have had a lot of success in raising money for mission trips the past three years. Coming up with fundraiser ideas can get hard because you want to do things that people will actually show up for but also want to try new things to catch people’s attention. When Amber suggested having a Black Light Zumba fundraiser {something Cory and I would have NEVER thought about}, we…
