Oh hey, Friday!
Happy, happy Friday y’all! It’s been a sickly week in the Sloan house but we have been puke free for 24 hours now. Whoop, whoop!
ONE | I want to wish my very best friend, Jessica and her hubs Matt, a happy 5th anniversary. It hardly feels like five years ago when we spent one last night together in her lime green room at her parents house as our final night of “being engaged together”.
Jessica, I hope you and Matt have a wonderful anniversary trip. Y’all deserve it :)
TWO | In that five years, Jessica and Matt brought into this world a beautiful baby girl who isn’t much of a baby anymore. Last night, we celebrated Kaylen’s 2nd birthday {only a month late} over dinner.
Does it surprise you that I gave her a Clemson cheerleading uniform? Well, maybe it does but if you really know me, it won’t.
I couldn’t find her any pom poms of her own so I gave her my old ones until I can find her some of her own!
THREE | I had a hair appointment on Monday and decided I wanted to do a heavier ombre than I did last time. I’m the only person that Brittany {my friend/hair stylist} will do ombre on because “I’m crazy enough to sit in her chair and let her” as she says. Since this was only the second time she had done it, it was really a guessing game. And she did a great job. When I left, I loved the way it looked.
She had foiled a small piece right at my part and the more I looked at it, the more it looked like all over highlights than ombre. So I slept on it and styled it the next day but ended up calling Brittany back on Tuesday to have her darken that small section she had foiled.
As good of a job as Brittany did, the light color on top wasn’t me. Thankfully, Brittany is one of my oldest friends and I can text her and beg her not to hate me but ask her to darken it!
I’ll spare you guys more awkward selfies and post pictures when the hubs is around for more than five minutes! To see them first, make sure you follow me on instagram.
FOUR | I ordered a couple of fabric wraps for our trip to Rwanda and the first one came in this week. I absolutely adore the turban from Rayna Jaye. Great quality, fast shipping and the cutest packaging {which I ripped into way too fast to get any pictures of}. By the way, this isn’t a sponsored post-just a happy customer right here!
FIVE | It’s football season y’all! As a former cheerleader {I can’t even tell you the number of football games I’ve cheered at}, you better believe that football runs deep in my blood.
Seriously, some of the best moments of my college career life happened on Death Valley. A place and time of my life I will always cherish. Plus, this chick just loves some football!
You may have seen my post yesterday but you better believe I will be cheering my heart out from the comfort of my couch this Saturday as Clemson takes on the Dawgs. Go Tigers!
Hope y’all have a great weekend :)

I’m sorry y’all have been sick, that is no fun! Between the bee stings and puking let’s hope y’all don’t have any health issues for a while!
Yay for five year anniversaries and cute babies! I bet she was lovin’ those pom poms!
I’m glad the hair color worked out, I’ve cried multiple times because my hair didn’t turn out the way I wanted it, but I can be a bit dramatic when it comes to that. And that fabric wrap is adorable, I may just have to order some!
So excited for football season, have a great long weekend!
