Oh Hey, Friday!
Oh hey, Friday! Weren’t you just here???
The countdown is on for our trip to Rwanda…17 days! {holy cow!} If really you know me or have followed along the past year, you probably know that I’m an extremely last minute packer. As many Type A tendencies as I have, organizing and packing for a trip just aren’t ones I posses. But I can’t handle that stress on top of taking not only myself, but a team, out of the country. In an attempt to stay on top of my game, I’ve started making lists. List of things to pick up, list of what will be in my make up bag, list of what will be in my carry on and personal bag. Oh, so many list!
Last weekend, we went to Greenville and I was finally able to mark some items off my list and I got some things I’ve just had my eye on all summer. Today, I’m sharing some of the goodies I picked up for my Friday five.
ONE | The t-shirt bra by Victoria Secret. I can’t even remember the last time I bought a new bra, y’all. I only had one left that I liked and knew I needed to invest in some new ones before our trip. I headed into Victoria Secret, got fitted for the first time in four years and the lady brought me one of these to try on. Oh my goodness, y’all. Seriously the most comfortable bra I’ve ever put on so I bought three. This bra has just a little padding and a small wire but is perfect for those ladies that are members of the IBTC {Itty Bitty Titty Committee}.
TWO | Urban Decay De-Slick Spray. I’ve wanted to try this stuff forever and after reading through some of Mia’s recommendations, I pulled the trigger Saturday and don’t regret it one bit. It’s been a tremendous help with my oily skin.
THREE | e.l.f. High Definition Powder. I’ve heard the raves about this powder from multiple beauty bloggers and for $6, I don’t know why I didn’t try it sooner. I’ve been sweeping it across my t-zone before I apply my powder and am pleased with the results, so far.
FOUR | e.l.f Kabuki Face Brush and Sigma F80. Much like my bras, I can’t remember the last time I put a little money into some new makeup brushes. Again, with the recommendations of my favorite beauty blogger, Mia, I decided these two needed to be added to my collection. I picked up the Kabuki at Target for $6 {it’s seriously soft for a $6 brush} and I’ve ordered the Sigma brush and can’t wait to try it out!
FIVE | Bobbi Brown Corrector and BareMinerals Well-Rested Eye Brightener. The corrector isn’t a new item to my makeup bag but I’ve been out for awhile. Along with the eye brightener, it should help curb my dark circles after 24 hours of travel. FYI, I buy the corrector in light bisque and normally wear it under my under eye concealer.
So there you have some of my goodies from my recent haul. What have y’all been buying lately?
Happy Friday, friends!

Ahhh love it! This post is definitely full of my favorite things and I’m so glad you love them too :) The spray, both Kabukis, HD Powder and the Well Rested are all daily uses for me! Now I feel like I need to go buy one of those bras, they sound amazing.

Girl, all your recommendations were on point! My face would still be so oily without you and your blog :)

Stopping by from the h54f linkup, and i just had to comment after seeing your #1! I discovered the vs tshirt bras a couple of months ago, and they are seriously the most comfortable bras ever. i now have 4 and every time i get a coupon for vs, i go and get another one. i want one in every color they offer, and if they ever stop carrying them, i might cry hahaha

I bought 3 that day! Aren’t they just incredible? I honestly don’t even feel like I’ve got one on!
Thanks for stopping by :)

Yay for buying new pretty things! Shopping is so much fun and it looks like you got some much needed essentials before your big trip! I honestly don’t remember the last time I bought a new bra either, but they are so gosh darn expensive! And I will have to try that Urban Decay makeup spray and that powder. #oilyskinprobelms I just keep telling myself my oily skin will keep me lookin’ good as I get older.

HAHA! I’ve never thought of having oily skin that way! The past couple years, I have really tried to limit my spending but there was so many items that I’ve wanted to try and new I needed {like bra’s} for the trip. I was planning on checking out Target but when I tried on the t-shirt bra, I was hooked! But these should last me another 3-4 years hopefully! The setting spray is a must for oily skin and they have a travel size for $14 or $15 so you can try it out!

Hey there! Stopping by from the link up. I just got home from purchasing my first urban decay beauty item — some mascara. Glad to hear you like some of their other products.
Paige Sloan
Oh! I’ve never tried their mascara but I’ve never been disappointed with any of their products!
Thanks for stopping by!

I swear by the Bare Minerals eye brightener and the Well Rested! So crazy that your trip is only 17 days away now!! I always leave packing til the last minute… it just seems like if I pack early, I end up having to use half of the stuff before we leave anyways so what’s the point?!
Paige Sloan
Girl, I’m the worst at waiting till the last possible minute but I’m so afraid I will forget something that I just can’t live without for two weeks. I’ve already started my list and will probably wait until the Saturday before we leave to actually start packing because there will be stuff I will definitely need!

That bra looks amazing!! i am always a fan of super comfy undergarments! And I have seen so many things about the Elf products I must try them!!

I’ve been obsessed with Elf lately…and it’s so cheap, you aren’t out anything if you don’t like it!

i think i had some of those tshirt bras, i loved them but they didnt last for me (possibly because my husband put them in the dryer, lol). definitely going to try that elf powder!
Paige Sloan
oh no! I will have to make sure they don’t get dried! They were too expensive to not hold up!
