I’m still alive!

Wow! I can’t believe it’s the end of August. I never intended to take the majority of the summer off from blogging and I certainly never intended to take so long to share our kitchen reno but life happens sometimes.

We went straight from the kitchen to successfully raising almost $14,000 in two months for our trip to Rwanda (mind blown!). We are 100% funded for our trip which is a good thing considering Cory leaves on Monday!

Exhaustion would be an understatement especially considering the mile long list we’ve still got left to do over the next few days. THEN I can focus on getting myself ready.

I had really, really hoped to have the kitchen at some sort of good stopping place {like at least having the hardware on the cabinets} to do a reveal before our trip but that just doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen. After Cory leaves, I should have a few days downtime and I will work on getting some pictures of how it looks, right this second, unfinished and all.

I’m also gonna try my hardest to get some pictures of the projects I do have finished. If all goes as planned, those will be rolling out while I’m out of the country. But to be honest, I’ve gotten out of the habit of blogging. Here’s to hoping for less busy days in the future!

As if preparing for Rwanda isn’t exciting enough, my best friend Jessica welcomed a precious baby boy into this world early Tuesday morning.

I’m so thankful she lets me be a part of those big moments and I got to meet sweet little Grady along with her family.

Just look at that smile! Never would have guessed it was 3:30am, would you? Don’t worry though. This was her moments before while waiting on his arrival.

She’s a champ!

So other than packing plastic totes full of supplies and loving on sweet babies, we are just here gearing up for Rwanda. Hopefully, I’ll be back on track {or at least a schedule} soon!
