Happy Birthday, Gracie Lain!
Eight years ago today, Gracie {my little sister} graced us with her presence almost 4 weeks early and I’d really like to know where the time went. She can’t really be eight, can she? And she’s certainly not old enough to be texting, IS SHE?
Every time I see her name pop up on my phone, I shake my head in disbelief because it honestly feels like yesterday when my Mom called me early one morning and told me “not to panic” but she thought she was in labor. I jumped down from my top bunk {it was my freshman year in college and I lived in the dorms}, got dressed as quickly as I could and rushed to meet my parents at the hospital.
Gracie has been a life changing blessing to our family with her gentle heart and kind soul. She was a happy baby who had the wildest hair and loved cheesing for pictures. She has turned into a funny, mature (but silly) little girl who hates to brush that wild head of hair, a girlie girl that loves wearing pretty dresses but asked for Ninja Turtles for her birthday.
Since the majority of her days are pre-blog, I thought I would share some pictures of her over the years. I’ve literally got thousands so I will try to spare you a super long post and only share some of my favorites.
A very old cell phone video of Gracie saying the Pledge circa October 2008. My favorite part is the very end :)
Happy birthday to my mini-me, my best friend and the coolest eight year old I know. I love you, Gracie Girl!

LIke I mentioned before, I know how awesome it is to have a truly BABY sister–it’s so fun to watch them grow up! Happy birthday to her!

Oh, it has been so much fun! I’ve truly enjoyed being old enough to be a best friend and sister.
