Girls Weekending
I’m home after a great weekend at the beach with my bestie, Jessica. I can’t remember the last time where we had two and half days devoted to just us, to catch up, eat a ton of junk food, go to bed early and sleep in late.
#wearegettingold #butitwasglorious
We left out early Saturday morning and were at the beach by lunch time. After grabbing a bite to eat, we hit up some shopping and waited on our room to be ready.
It was really windy Saturday afternoon but never too cold for a walk on the beach.
We headed out for supplies to last us the weekend. As you can see, we had our priorities straight.
After chowing down on Subway for dinner, we headed to the hot tub before retiring to our king size bed!
I don’t think I moved all night and we finally dragged ourselves out of bed around 11:00am. Have y’all had the Cookie Dough doughnuts? Oh my gosh. So yummy!
We headed down to the beach where girls were laying out in bikinis, I kid you not. It was a beautiful day {and we even got some sun on our legs} but not nearly warm enough to be laying out in a bikini.
We spent all afternoon on the beach and than headed to the hot tub because the heated pools were still too cold. After probably two hours in the hot tub and countless back and forth, we decided we would actually get showers and get dressed to go out for dinner. The struggle was real, though.
We ended up eating at Flying Fish.
And it was so good!
After dinner and “cruising the strip” in Myrtle Beach {we were one of the only cars on the road but I had never actually cruised the strip} we headed back to condo.
While the people in the room beside us were partying until wee hours in the morning, we climbed in bed and watched Friends until we fell asleep.
Absolute perfection!
Our trip came to an end Monday morning and we had to come back to reality but first, one last selfie.
This was, honestly, one of the best weekends I’ve had in a long time. We giggled, we talked about everything under the sun and just had the best time not having to worry about kitchen renovations or keeping up with a two year old.
Even though we had a great time, we missed our boys and our babies. And judging my the absurd amount of ridiculously cute pictures I got, I think it’s safe to say that Cory missed me too!
Yes, that would be Charlie in pearls.

Girl, this is my kind of weekend! We’re heading to Florida in a couple of weeks and this is exactly what I have on the agenda :) And I love your grocery essentials – cookie dough donuts, what?!

That should be every snack menu for a girls weekend :)
Glad you had a good time. Giggles with girlfriends is the best thing there is.

I literally laughed out loud at that picture of Charlie in pearls.
Anywho, sounds like y’all had a great girls weekend. I love relaxing trips like that and as far as the food goes, I like the way you think. :)
