Five on Friday

Five on Friday {Thankful November}

Happy Friday and first day of November! Now that we’ve said goodbye to October, I can turn my attention to my favorite time of the year…Christmas!

I know. I’m that person that kind of forgets about Thanksgiving and goes straight to Christmas. We have so much to be thankful for this year and in honor of not forgetting Thanksgiving, I will devote the next five Fridays to sharing what I’m thankful for.

{One}
My sweet, sleepy husband.

If you follow me on Facebook, you already know that Cory has been on night shift for about a month. Hopefully, he only has a few more weeks before he can switch back to his regular schedule. On Monday, we got to have breakfast together, in a restaurant, for the first time since he started night shift. I don’t say it near enough but I am so thankful that God blessed me with a husband who is willing to work so hard to provide for our family.

{Two}
Our babies.

These two fur balls make my heart happy. Absolutely spoiled rotten but they are worth it. They always make my day brighter with their excitement to see me when I walk through their door. Plus, they are easier and cheaper than a baby and they don’t talk back.

{Three}
My relationship with Christ.

I’m constantly amazed at how God is working in our life.  I’m so thankful that Cory and I found a church where we can grow and serve and have such wonderful people to do life with. Since getting plugged in at ONE, He has stretched us out of comfort zones and deepened our walks with Him. We are so blessed yet so undeserving.

{Four}
Our jobs.

If I’m being completely honesty, neither Cory or I love our jobs. We both have good days and bad but it’s still just a job. However, our jobs provide. We live a very comfortable lifestyle {partly because of Dave Ramsey} and we have good benefits. It is hard sometimes to not get caught up in the mundane, every day habits of our jobs but I thank God everyday that we were both able to find good jobs right out of college.

{Five}
Getting to spend Halloween with this cute berry fairy.

I normally spend Halloween with Gracie but she had a brutal stomach bug yesterday {on Halloween}. I’m pretty sure that’s every seven year old worst nightmare. Since she was sick and I wasn’t about to walk into a death trap known as “brutal”, I got to spend Halloween with Jessica and her sweet family. Kaylen is still too young to actually trick or treat but she enjoyed the hay ride around the neighborhood. I could just kiss those cheeks all over, they are so cute. Jessica is so very important to me and has been a life long friend. She has stood by my side through the good, bad and ugly and has never wavered. I’m so thankful that I get to do life with her, Matt and of course, sweet Kaylen.

Alright, there’s my five on Friday {Thankful November}. What are you thankful for?
