Five on Friday
It’s been a crazy week around my house. My parents have been out of town {more about that in a second} so I’ve been splitting sibling duties with my Papa and his wife, Barbara. We’ve had talent shows and sound checks, bonfires, smores and roasted weenies and lots of good family time.
By the way, did you know I was one of five children? I have an older sister, twin brothers who are 17 and a little sister who is 7.
After school today till Sunday, I will have the 3 youngest Lunsfords crashing at my house.

When I woke up Sunday morning, I had this picture sitting in my inbox from my parents. This is the boat they’ve been sailing around the British Virgin Islands in all week.
And while I’m a tad jealous because I got stuck with Mad Max…
I’m so happy they were able to get away. I can’t think of two more deserving people of this trip. They both work, go to school, still have three children at home and very rarely take time for themselves. I can’t wait to hear all about their trip when they get home Sunday.

Since my parents are out of town, my Papa and his wife Barbara drove their RV down from Asheville to help out do most of the dirty work. They’ve been getting Gracie to and from school and Barbara did dinner each night. It has been so nice to spend some time with both of them. Monday night {and last night but I didn’t get any pictures} we ate by the campfire.
Of course, no campfire is complete without roasted weenies and smores.

On Tuesday night, John and Jordan {my brothers} were in their school talent show. Jordan {the one playing guitar} has played a few coffee shop shows and plays at church a good bit but this is only their second time playing and singing together. Maybe I’m a little biased, but I thought they should have won.

I posted about this scarf here but it deserves another mention. I ordered this Michael Kors scarf from Nordstrom and I love it. I’ve already worn it twice this week and will probably wear it again this weekend.
Maybe it’s just South Carolina but it’s been cold this week. We normally don’t see temperatures this low until mid-November but I don’t mind because it just gives me another reason to wear my new scarf!
And do I need to even mention the fact that it’s leopard print? I’m becoming a little obsessed with all things leopard. I definitely think leopard is my new neutral.

Hello, Fall TV! {I know I’m a little behind on this one}
I will be the first to admit that I watch way too much TV.
But how can I resist when all these great shows start back at the same time?
Just to name a few…The Walking Dead, Dancing with the Stars, Revolution, The Big Bang Theory, Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, Parenthood, Chicago Fire and Pretty Little Liars.
All I can say is thank goodness for the Genie. The Genie is by DirecTv and we got it because we had too many recording conflicts with our old one. Now, between our old one and the Genie, we can record up seven shows at one time.
You heard me right, seven. And we haven’t had a conflict since. When your addicted to as many TV shows as I am, you gotta do what you gotta do.
Happy Friday, y’all! This post is linked with Darci at {the good life blog}.
