Five on Friday

Happy Valentines Day and happy Friday, y’all! “Snowmageddon” hit SC this week which means we got about 4″ of snow and two days off work! I tell ya, I could get used to working two days a week.

TWO.

You may have seen my post yesterday about Gracie’s birthday but Snowmageddon messed us up a little. Her party is next weekend but my Mom always tries to do a little something special on our actual birthday. So I “braved” the weather yesterday {the roads were clear and the snow was almost gone} to have dinner and cake at my parents. My mom made a cake but realized right before we sat down she didn’t have any candles. So what are you to do when you don’t have any birthday candles in the middle of Snowmageddon? You make your own. With skewers and marshmallows. Poor child was just as happy.

THREE.

If you know Cory then you know his hatred for all things snow. He is a negative Nancy when it comes to snow predictions and while the rest of the world state was predicting we would get 7+ inches of snow, he called it and said we would get 2-3″ and freezing rain on top. Thankful he survived Snowmageddon 2014 {please notice the sarcasm}.

FOUR.

Since Cory has to work tonight, we exchanged gifts this morning and we will celebrate on Monday, his next day off. It kinda stinks not having him with me on Valentines but it is what it is. Can you believe he made those signs? He rocks.
