Baker Bea’s Nursery

I’m officially way overdue for this post seeing as Baker is almost two months old. But when I went to the hospital at 35 weeks and 5 days, I had no idea I wouldn’t be returning home without a baby. Needless to say, her nursery still needed a few finishing touches that didn’t get finished until she was a few weeks old. Heck, it’s still not 100% done (we still need a lamp and a foot stool) but Baker’s nursery is done enough to share with y’all!

I will try and source everything as I go but if I forget something, shoot me an email and I’ll be happy to share! (Some of these links are affiliate links which means I might make a few cents if you click and buy from them.)

Closet Makeover

Happy Tuesday, friends. This weekend, Cory and I had an extra long weekend, so we tackled the first stage of getting the nursery started…a closet makeover. Ironically enough, this really didn’t involve the nursery at all! When we first moved into our house, almost 6 years ago, Cory and I both had a ridiculous amount of clothes, so I took the master closet and dresser and he used the guest bedroom closet, dresser, and chest of drawers. And it’s worked out very well for us.

Now that Hot Pie is planning on making her entrance into the world in a few short months, we plan on using the guest bedroom as her nursery–meaning that Cory’s stuff had to be cleared out! Seeing as how our office has no extra room {maybe I’ll get around to sharing what we’ve done in there sometime in the next year or so}, our only solution was to finally have him move his stuff into our bedroom and I had to give up my big walk-in closet all to myself.

This baby better be cute.

Just kidding.

Kitchen Renovation- Unfinished Reveal

I bet you thought this day would never come, didn’t you? I started questioning whether I’d ever do another kitchen renovation update myself. And even though we aren’t finished, I thought I would share some of the progress that we worked so hard on the past six months.

The lighting wasn’t the best but my house was spotless {thanks to Cory’s grandmother!} so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to snap a few pictures before I left for Rwanda.
